John C. Hart Library received a Hart Quilters handmade quilt for a rafile to benefit the library. The donation was received on behalf of the facility by the Hart Library Board of Trustees and the Friends of the Library.

''Heartwarming." a series of blocks depicting houses and trees bordered in black and red. is the pattern of the quilt made by the Hart Quihers, which meets in the fall and spring on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9, led by Kay Fowler and Barbara Lerch.

Those who contributed their skills and time to the project include Carol Bova, Sandy Delatorre. Kay Fowler, Sally Gield, Jeanne Honnan, Lois Jackson, Pauline Joseph, Barbara Lerch, Lois Lober, Minnie Lugay, Bettina Luhn, Mary Mace, Tracy Meneses, Peg Murtha, Maxine Oliver, Arline O'Shea, Barbara Powers, Carrie Vollrath, Mazy Walsh and Pat Ward.

The 90 x 106-inch quilt is on display at the hbraty in Sluub Oak. Raffietickets are available at the Circulation Desk, with the drawing scheduled for april 2004.

The Hart at 1130 East Main Street maintains hours from 9:~ a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 9:30 to 5 on Fridays and Saturdays; and from 1 to 4 Sundays October through April.
