The home of Dr. and Mrs. Dresser was the scene of a large and social gathering on Wednesday evening. The evening was spent pleasantly with cards, and some of the old fashioned parlor games were revived. At 12 o'clock the grand march was sounded and all followed the host and the hostess through a winding hallway to the dining room, where a delicious supper was served. The house was decorated with potted plants and cut flowers. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Smith Forman, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Horne, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Strang, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sage, Mr. and Mrs. William Roake, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carpenter, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Horton and Miss Horton, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Jones and Miss Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Williams, Mrs. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. William Birdsall, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Secor, and a host of others. This was decided by all present to be the social event of the season.
