The John C. Hart Memorial Library in Shrub Oak is one of 17 area libraries that received $80,000 in discretionary "bullet aid" grant funding from New York State, according to Sen. Terrence Murphy.

"Literacy is perhaps the most beautifol gift you can give," Murphy said in a press release.
